💡✍️ADN #110: "What I Did" Tracker

adn110 artist development artist development newsletter consistency habits productivity tracker Dec 29, 2024

Before the end of each night, I spend a little time thinking about the most important tasks for the following day.

I do something similar on Sundays for the week ahead.

I look at my calendar and notes at the end of each week to see what I’ve accomplished and missed.

It has proven to be a great indicator of:

 — — -

1. The story I’m telling myself and the truth.

2. Where my motivation is and where it isn’t.

3. The commitments I should prioritize and the ones to unwind.

In 2025, I plan to do this daily by keeping a simple spreadsheet.

  • What I plan to do
  • What I did

I’ve made a spreadsheet tracker in case you want to join me.

Here is the ADN: “What I Did” Tracker

Click “file.”

Then, “Make A Copy.”

That’s it.

The spreadsheet is yours.

A few bonuses to this system are:

  • Anything you don’t do today is an idea for tomorrow.
  • Teaches time management.
  • Helps with focus and delegation.

In the clutter of always having another thing to do for your Artist Development, the “What I Did” Tracker is a helpful tool to keep you growing, organized, and honest with yourself.

Take 5 minutes each night to write down what you did that day.

Take 5 more minutes to jot down your priorities for the next day.

It’s that simple.

See you next Sunday!

Happy New Year,

Neil
